Phil Traynor

I've known Phil Traynor and his wife Bonnie going on 11 years now. A few years back, we worked at Tech Data together. One day in the normal course of things, Phil went to a seminar on goal setting. He came back from it very pumped up, but as I recall also a little puzzled. The process had a surprising result for him. He was now more inspired to follow his dream of making music than his current path in the computer support field. The consequence was a re-dedication to making music again as he had in his days after college. The result has been 4 CDs available as an MP3 artist, and now his first nationally distributed independent label release.

Phil is an aficionado of lists of all sorts and regales all who will listen to the latest Top-5 list that pops into his in-box. He loves walks on the beach, big fluffy, well never mind that, and is a #1 fan of things Barry Manilow, Jeff Lorber, Billy Joel, and Harry Connick, Jr. In any future mini-series, the character of Phil Traynor will be played by Jason Alexander.

a dichotomy of silence

Phil asked me contribute some of my poetry to this CD. He has also asked me to write the liner notes as well as see what gels for new verses that match his upcoming project call Heaven.

Heaven

Phil's latest CD project.

When asked to give me a summary description of Heaven Phil replied: Heaven will be "my musical description of the soul’s journey from the point of passage from life, through the trials and journeys, through fear, uncertainty, and ultimate redemption."

You can sample the tracks of Heaven and buy it at CD Baby.
