Sunshowers


The clouds dissolved
And silently parted,
Surprising me,
Naked,
Dark of mind,
And unprepared for dealing with light.

Held rigid in the brilliance,
Stricken with the sudden warmth.
Caught in sunshowers,
Despite my relentless intent,
To languor about in the shadows of pity.
